But the ruler is Mercury, so it's much more interesting than it sounds. How could we manage without Virgo and the steady influence of this House, with efficiency and service to others? With Mercury around there's interest in techniques, pride of achievement and hygiene, reliability and devotion and ambition to help others. Of course, when badly aspected - that is, when the wrong planets creep uninvited into this House, things can go wrong resulting in a great dislike of work, erratic workmanship, sulking and neurotic behaviour, unreliable attitudes to friends.
