Considered as the most self-intent of the twelve signs, Scorpio possesses inner, idealistic and unlimited resources, innovation and judgement. Sets his own standards and will not have them questioned, and often rides rough-shod over others, and is truly amazed when they complain. This sign has an interesting past and, as a creature of darkness and shadows, the ancient world considered it an evil sign. The Mayas called it the 'Death-God'. In the Euphrates Valley where, perhaps, it originated, the sign represented a monster, half man, half scorpion, which vividly illustrates the dual nature of this sign. The human part belonged to the upper - or spiritual nature of the sign, the animal part - the secretive brooding underworld. In love, passionate. Often extremely jealous with strong sexual feelings.
