They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be
saved--you and your household."
Acts 16:31
But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then
choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether
the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the
gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as
for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."
Joshua 24:15
Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and
slander, along with every form of malice.
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each
other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Ephesians 4:31-32
Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old
he will not turn from it.
Proverbs 22:6
"Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live
long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.
Exodus 20:12
Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.
For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the
head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.
Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should
submit to their husbands in everything.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church
and gave himself up for her
to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water
through the word,
and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without
stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and
blameless.
In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as
their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and
cares for it, just as Christ does the church--
for we are members of his body.
"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and
be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh."
This is a profound mystery--but I am talking about Christ
and the church.
However, each one of you also must love his wife as he
loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
Ephesians 5:21-33
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
"Honor your father and mother"--which is the first
commandment with a promise--
"that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long
life on the earth."
Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring
them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
Ephesians 6:1-4
He must manage his own family well and see that his
children obey him with proper respect.
(If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how
can he take care of God's church?)
1 Timothy 3:4-5
Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from
him.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in
one's youth.
Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will
not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in
the gate.
Psalms 127:3-5
He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children,
and the hearts of the children to their fathers; or else I
will come and strike the land with a curse."
Malachi 4:6
Children's children are a crown to the aged, and parents
are the pride of their children.
Proverbs 17:6
These commandments that I give you today are to be upon
your hearts.
Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit
at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down
and when you get up.
Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your
foreheads.
Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your
gates.
Deuteronomy 6:6-9
Discipline your son, and he will give you peace; he will
bring delight to your soul.
Proverbs 29:17
A good man leaves an inheritance for his children's
children, but a sinner's wealth is stored up for the
righteous.
Proverbs 13:22
Blessed are all who fear the LORD, who walk in his ways.
You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and
prosperity will be yours.
Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house;
your sons will be like olive shoots around your table.
Thus is the man blessed who fears the LORD.
Psalms 128:1-4
The father of a righteous man has great joy; he who has a
wise son delights in him.
Proverbs 23:24
All your sons will be taught by the LORD, and great will be your children's peace.
Isaiah 54:13
