Right then, you are thinking who are all this lot ? Well lets start at the top. Martha Clayton-Grandad Ernests Mother. Needless to say, I never met her. This photo is of Grandad Ernest, and his two sisters Sarah and Bessie.They are with their uncle Jim. Grandad Ernest haymaking. Grandad Ernest & Grandma Nellie Stepping out Grandad Ernest holding mum as a baby. Grandma Nellie holding mum as a baby. Auntie Bessie who was Grandad Ernest's younger sister. Auntie Bessie as a young woman. Auntie Bessie, more as I remember her, she had polio as a child and her leg was always bandaged. She used to smoke No1's and give me the best boiled sweets and candy cigarettes.
