Most of the information about the descendants of George B. Bucklew's children is derived from the records of Byron O. Bucklew, Jr., of Centreville, VA, provided to me by James E. Bucklew with a letter dated 11 Jan 1999.

On 6 June 1834 when George B. was 27, he married Sarah Purdy, in Coshocton Co., OH. Born on 17 July 1812 in PA. Sarah died in Coshocton Co., OH, in July 1875; she was 62. Nickname: Sally.

Another source gives her name on her marriage record as "Sally Pindy."

200. Sarah Ellen Buckalew. Born on 28 August 1809 in Harrison Co., WV. Sarah Ellen died in Holmes Co., OH, on 26 June 1865; she was 55.

IGA wedding date: 17 Jul 1828.

James E. Bucklew has year of wedding as 1834.

Another source give birth date as 27th.

On 17 July 1828 when Sarah Ellen was 18, she married Jonathan Neville, son of John Neville (1786-1 August 1855) & Elizabeth Grant (-1877), in Coshocton Co., OH. Born on 24 February 1806 in Beaver Co., PA. Jonathan died in Holmes Co., OH, on 13 April 1872; he was 66.

"Jonathan and Sarah resided in Berlin Township until after the death of his father. They then moved back to the family farm in Killbuck township with their four sons. The farm, with numerous orchards, was on a hill that was then a prosperous community known as Neville's Corners. Jonathan's two sons, John W. and Jonathan (nicknamed "Buc") and Layfayette Thatcher owned and operated a general store." 28

On 18 May 1837 when Rosanne Kean was 20, she married Josiah White, son of Benjamin White & Sarah, in Coshocton Co., OH. Born on 24 January 1812 in PA. Josiah died in Owen Co., IN, on 24 January 1873; he was 61. Buried in Neihart Cem., Owen Co., IN. Occupation: Farmer.

1899, May 5th, Obituary: "At his home near Layland, May 1, 1899, James Bucklew aged 82 years. Death was caused by a paralytic stroke. Interment was made at Salem Church Cemetery."
