I've finally found a CREAR!!!!!
However, Harmon Crear was not married to Eleanor/Elnora Crear, she was his stepmother. My great grandfather, John Crear (Cruger) was married to her.
John Crear (Cruger) was married to Margaret? first and their children were: Joseph (my mothers father), Harmon, William, Harvey, Frank, Nellie Faye and another daughter that died soon after born. He then married Eleanor/Elnora Buckalew Murphy. She already had two sons: Linn and Glen Murphy.
John Crear (Cruger) and Eleanor/Elnora Murphy Crear had two daughters: Edith and Mary Crear. Mary and Edith were Harmon Crears 1/2 sisters.
The info you have for Harmon Crear is about my great grandfather, the dates match up. Hope some of this info helps you out. Mom is 85 now and she remembers some of these people.

Just a note:
Harmon Crear was my mothers uncle. Mary and Edith Crear were his half sisters and Elnora(Eleanor) Buckalew Murphy was his step mother.
Elnora(Eleanor) Murphy was my great grandfathers (Henry Crear) second wife. She had two children when they married, Linn and Eugene Murphy. My gr grandfather had six children from a previous marriage, Joseph (my mothers father), Harmon, William, Harvey, Frank and Nellie Crear. Then together, Elnora and Henry, had Edith and Mary Crear.
Also Eugene Murphy did not die at birth. Mom couldn't remember Eugenes wifes name but he had two children, Gerold and Pauline. Mom was named after Pauline.
I hope this helps some.

Good morning, Susy!

Since it is my database that cousin John Adams maintains at the Bucklew Family Association (BFA) Web Site, he forwarded your email to me. We really appreciate your input and corrections, but before I include them into the next update that I will send to the site, I want to be sure I understand the information you sent.

Just curious... Are you referring to what you found at the BFA web site, or something that you found elsewhere and you have now shared with us?

>However, Harmon Crear was not married to Eleanor/Elnora Crear, she was his >stepmother. My great grandfather, John Crear (Cruger) was married to her.

I've now changed the database to reflect the above.

>John Crear (Cruger) was married to Margaret? first and their children were: >Joseph (my mothers father), Harmon, William, Harvey, Frank, Nellie Faye and >another daughter that died soon after born. He then married Eleanor/Elnora >Buckalew Murphy. She already had two sons: Linn and Glen Murphy.

In the second msg you said that Elnora's children by her first marriage were Linn and Eugene Murphy.

I had her sons as Linn and EUGENE, and, in your second msg you mention Eugene. Were Glen and Eugene the two given names for the same person, or were they two persons? If the latter, whose son was Eugene?

>The info you have for Harmon Crear is about my great grandfather, the dates >match up.

I've now made this correction.

Also, in your second msg, you said:

>Elnora(Eleanor) Murphy was my great grandfathers (Henry Crear) second wife. She >had two children when they married, Linn and Eugene Murphy.

In your first msg (above) you said your g-grandfather was JOHN Crear. Was his name, perhaps, JOHN HENRY Crear?

>Also Eugene Murphy did not die at birth. Mom couldn't remember Eugenes wifes >name but he had two children, Gerold and Pauline. Mom was named after Pauline.

If Glen and Eugene were two different children of Elnora, maybe it was Glen who "died in infancy." What do you think?

I'll be looking forward to your reply, and will delay further corrections until I hear from you.

Best regards,

Les

Good afternoon Les,
Happy to hear from you!
Sorry about the mistakes. Lets see my gr grandfathers name was Henry
Crear(Cruger), not John. The only sons from Eleanor(Elnora) first marriage
were Linn and Eugene Murphy. Also Mom remembers Elnoras name as Eleanor,
I'm not sure which is correct.
I found your information in Gendex surname files. Ask Mom about all of it
and she told me the corrections. She says back when she was little no one
talked a whole lot about relatives, she did not know what Eleanor's(Elnora)
maiden name was.
Anything else comes up I'll let you know or you me, please. Really sorry
about the mistakes---got to quit staying up so late at the computer trying
to figure all these things out.

best regards,
Susy Parrish (Lowary)

They had the following children:
1297 i. Edith (1897-)
1298 ii. Mary (1899-1975)
