Suffield, CT (1878-9), Farmingdale, NY (1879-81), Mattituck and Jamesport (1881-2). Business in NY (1881-4), manager, Remington Typewriter Co. and Oliver Typewriter Co., Washington, DC (1884-1905).

On 27 January 1877 when Joshua Rogers was 25, he married Annie Caroline Taft, daughter of Velorous Taft (1818-1890) & Lucy Bennett (1822-1854). Born on 13 July 1851. Annie Caroline died on 29 September 1928; she was 77.
