Julia Alice Wolfe
Julia Alice Wolfe, 89, of Dellslow, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, at MonPointe
Continuing Care Facility, where she had been a resident for nearly a year.

She was born June 17, 1909, in Terra Alta, daughter of the late Buckner F. and
Martha Taylor Bucklew. She was the last surviving member of her immediate
family.

She also was preceded in death by a fifth sister, Flossie Taylor.

Friends may call at Hastings Funeral Home from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. A
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, with Edward Moore
and the Rev. Luther "Bud" McCartney officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant
Hills Cemetery. Donations : Mellon,s Chapel Church, 1481 Roosevelt,
Morgantown, WV 26505.

Julia Alice Wolfe

Julia Alice Wolfe, 89, of Dellslow, died Saturday, January 16, 1999, at MonPointe Continuing Care Facility. She was born June 17, 1909, in Terra Alta, daughter of the late Buckner F. and
Martha Taylor Bucklew. She was a homemaker, and was a member of Mellon's Chapel Church, Dellslow, for 75 years, and of its quilting group for 25 years. She will be remembered for her devotion to family, friends and neighbors. She is survived by a daughter and spouse, Joetta and Edward Moore of Morgantown, three grandsons and spouses, Kevin and Harriett Moore of
Greencastle, IN, and Gregg and Julia Moore, and Todd Moore, all of Morgantown; four great-granddaughters, Kelsie and Carissa Moore of Morgantown, and Alice and Rebecca Moore of Greencastle; and a great-grandson, David Moore of Morgantown. She also was a special grandmother to Shari and David Kuhn, and their children, Aleana and Richard, all of Pittsburgh. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emery Glen Wolfe, whom she married in 1933; an infant son, Emery Wolfe, Jr. in 1935; two brothers, Robert Bucklew and James Bucklew; and four sisters, Rose Gilmore, Leota Wolfe, Flora Smith and Anna Nine. Service will be held at 1 p.m. today, (Wednesday) at Hasting Funeral Home with
Rev. Luther "Bud" McCartney officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hills Cemetery. Donations: Mellon's Chapel Church,
c/o 1481 Roosevelt, Morgantown, 26505.

In 1933 when Julia Alice was 23, she married Emery Glen Wolfe , Sr..

They had the following children:
