I have been working on my "families" for a while now and left the Buckalews till now because I had no family resources or stories before Lucy Ellen. I recently found Lucy's parents in the 1880 census so began looking around and almost the first thing I found was your website - wow seven generations I found! Lucy's daughter, Elizabeth Matilda, was my maternal grandmother.

I commend you on the work you have done and including all your sources is a tremendous help to anyone working on the family. I am sending to you information in the attached file about Lucy Ellen and her family. I knew all of them (except Mason and Nell who died before I was born) and attended
most of their funerals. All of the information about them comes from family records - bibles, obituaries, obituary cards, and my grandmother's and mother's personal papers.

On 10 April 1883 when Lucy Ellen was 23, she married John Thomas Smith, in Garrett Co., MD. Born in 1860. John Thomas died in Deer Park, MD, in 1928; he was 68. Buried in Deer Park Cem., MD. Occupation: Farmer.

WV. Born on 10 May 1847 in Preston Co., WV. Jehu died in Preston Co., WV, on 1 October 1920; he was 73. Buried in Bucklew Cem., Hardesty Farm, Rodamer, Preston Co., WV.
