William Clayton first married Martha Ann Anderson, daughter of Solomon Anderson & Elizabeth Booth. Born on 25 September 1837 in Washington Co., AL. Martha Ann died in Washington Co., AL, on 20 December 1916; she was 79.

Another source has her yob as 1837. 1837 seems more plausible, too, in consideration of her husband's age.

On 2 May 1861 when Sabrinah was 23, she married William Young Moss, in Washington Co., AL. Born on 6 October 1826 in Washington Co., AL. William Young died in Washington Co., AL, on 18 March 1885; he was 58.

Private, Wilson's Guards, Co. A., 32nd AL Inf.: Washington Co., AL, volunteers, formed 20 Jan 1862 at St. Stephens.

I believe that John is one and the same as another source's Peter Johnson, b. 17 Dec 1840.

Ray Revette says, " I do not have a John in this family. ...I have a John Beech that died in a GA hospital from fever. He was in Co A 32nd AL. (There were 6 or so BEECH/BEACH in this one Company.) This John was a 1st cousin to the children of BEECH/BUCKALEW."
