About 1885 when Levi Doss was 18, he married Lilly. Born in January 1867 in TN.

About 1891 when Jonathan D. "Jack" was 20, he married Annie. Born in March 1868 in TN. Annie died in Little Rock, AR, on 12 June 1903; she was 35. Buried on 14 June 1903 in Oakland cemetery.

1903, Saturday, June 13th; Obituary in The Arkansas Gazette, Little Rock, AR:
"MRS. J. D. BUCKALEW DEAD -- End Came Yesterday After Long Illness: Mrs. J. D. Buckalew died yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the family residence on Fourth street, after a protracted illness with consumption. Her condition has been critical for some time and the end was not unexpected. For several years she had been suffering with the disease which at last claimed her life.

"The deceased was the wife of Jack D. Buckalew, the third vice president of the International Association of Machinists, who is also the president of the Little Rock Trades Council, and one of the most prominent labor advocates in the West.

"During Mrs. Buckalew's long illness she has had the most tender care and sympathy from her husband, in whose success she always took a deep interest. Mrs. Buckalew was a consistent Christian, a loving mother and wife. Her patience and fortitude won her the respect and love of a host of friends in Little Rock, who will deeply regret her loss.

" Mrs. Buckalew formerly lived at Newport, where she and Mr. Buckalew were married. They moved to Little Rock several years ago. She is survived by one son, a little boy of six years, who has been attending the Little Rock public schools. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Perry, of Little Rock.

"The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Christian church. The iinterment will be in Oakland cemetery."
