Nelson E. Bucklew Sr.
Nelson E. Bucklew Sr., 73, of Rowlesburg, died Saturday, March 13, 1999, at
home.

He was born Nov. 8, 1925, in Manheim, son of the late Floyd and Mildred Plum
Bucklew.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and a machinist for Mack Trucks in Hagerstown, Md.,
and was Protestant.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mildred Fraley Bucklew; four sons and
a spouse, Nelson Jr. and Gissie Bucklew, of Pauls Valley, Okla., Donald
Bucklew, of Gas City, Ind., James Bucklew, of Herrin, Ill., and Paul Bucklew,
of Hagerstown; six daughte rs and spouses, Brenda Bucklew and Wanda and Earl
Mowen, all of Hagerstown, Cheryll Bucklew and Vicki Bucklew, both of
Rowlesburg, and Janette and Doug Keller and Shirley and William DeWitt, all of
Terra Alta; a brother, Ralph Bucklew, of Hagerstown; fiv e sisters, Barbara J.
Phillips, of Akron, Ohio, Sunny Adams and Ellen Ridenour, both of Tunnelton,
Dorothy Hoffman of Stow, Ohio, and Mary Muhlenbruch, of Oklahoma City; and 14
grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Friends may call at Browning Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, Chestnut Street,
Rowlesburg, from 2-9 p.m. Monday. Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March
16, with the Rev. Kenneth Lake officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View
Cemetery, near Tunnelton.

Mil. Svc.:: Served in the Army.

Nelson Edison first married Catherine Molly Fraley (Private), daughter of Claude Rufus Fraley & Bessie Hoffman.
