1901. Frances Ethleen Buckalew. Born on 11 September 1890. Frances Ethleen died on 21 May 1988; she was 97. Nickname: Ethel.

In 1914 when Frances Ethleen was 23, she married Oscar Troy Polling, in Preston Co. WV. Born in 1893. Oscar Troy died on 26 September 1945; he was 52.

1902. Enus Cleveland Buckalew. Born on 26 October 1892. Enus Cleveland died on 5 December 1892; he was <1. Buried in Briery Mountain, Preston Co., WV.

Family member said he ate green apples and died of cholera, phantam, and diaharria (sic).

1903. Obed Bunker Buckalew. Born on 14 May 1895 in Preston Co., WV. Obed Bunker died in Martinsburg, Berkeley Co., WV, on 9 September 1977; he was 82. Buried in Queens Point Cem., Keyser, Mineral Co., WV.

On 11 November 1917 when Obed Bunker was 22, he first married Lulu Florence Goff, daughter of Arthur Forest Goff & Elizabeth Catherine Sypolt, in Preston Co. WV. Born on 11 November 1898 in Taylor Co., WV. Lulu Florence died in Cumberland, Allegany Co., MD, on 6 February 1992; she was 93. Buried in Hillcrest Burial Park, Cumberland, Allegany Co., MD MD.

"Bucklew Cemetery, located on Cole family property on Old Tavern Road,
Rodamer, West Virginia, 3/4 mile above what is known as Cucumber Corner,
across road from vacant property formerly known as the Hewlitt Place. Obed
Bunker Bucklew's wife, Lulu Goff, grew up on property where cemetery is
located. I would not have found this cemetery without the help of the property
owner, known only to me as Mr. Cole, but himself a Bucklew relative as his
mother was a Bucklew. Old Tavern Road at this location is a dirt road
accessible only with four wheel drive. The cemetery is located about 100 yards
off the road and hidden in downed trees and heavy brush. There were I believe
5 headstone but only 3 were legible. Two of which I was very excited to find. "

Floda J. died in Cumberland, Allegany Co., MD, on 25 February 1991; she was 90. Buried in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, Mineral Co., WV.

1904. Floyd Clarence Buckalew. Born on 1 September 1897. Floyd Clarence died in #4 Cem. near Tunnelton, Preston Co., WV, on 23 July 1970; he was 72.

On 8 October 1924 when Floyd Clarence was 27, he married Minnie Mildred Plum, daughter of Charles Plum & Sarah Loughry. Born on 24 July 1909. Minnie Mildred died on 21 October 1974; she was 65. Buried in #4 Cem. near Tunnelton, Preston Co., WV.

1905. Homer Earl Buckalew. Born on 13 February 1900. Homer Earl died on 28 February 1995; he was 95. Buried in Pine Grove Church Cem., Salt Lick Rd., Preston Co., WV. Nickname: Hoggie Earl.

James E. Bucklew has Homer's dod as 23 Feb 1995.

Clare and Homer were 3rd cousins once removed. Their line is continued through the lineage of Philip Bucklew and Catherine Miller.

On 10 December 1932 when Homer Earl was 32, he married Clara Mae Nine (3353) , daughter of George F. Nine (1 April 1878-11 February 1944) & Laura E. Buckalew (1792) (22 February 1887-27 July 1982). Born on 4 June 1910. Clara Mae died on 5 December 1979; she was 69.

James E. Bucklew has Rachel's dob as 27 Jul 1902.

On 14 March 1925 when Rachel Ada was 23, she married Jonas Henry Sweitzer. Born on 29 January 1903. Jonas Henry died on 14 March 1969; he was 66.

On 30 June 1934 when Nelson Azor was 29, he married Mildred Belle Casteel, daughter of William Lowndes Casteel & Margaret Elizabeth Custer. Born on 14 February 1909 in Garrett Co., MD. Mildred Belle died in Charlottesville, VA, on 30 December 1991; she was 82. Buried in Oakland Cem., Oakland, Garrett Co., MD.

Had been employed as an accountant. Her obituary did not state place of burial.

On 10 March 1928 when Opha Lora was 20, she married Hamilton M. Ridenour. Born on 10 March 1906. Hamilton M. died on 19 August 1989; he was 83. Buried in Shays Chapel Cem., Near Tunnelton, Preston Co., WV. Occupation: Patty.

1909. Herman Reed Buckalew. Born on 9 October 1909. Herman Reed died on 25 July 1911; he was 1. Buried in Briery Mountain, Preston Co., WV.

Reported by family member that he was tonque-tied. Dr. Fogel took a pen knife, raised up his tongue, cut it, and Aunt Oph saw him stretch out and die. Dr. Fogel was a doctor in WW I, a little short man with glasses. Family doctor then was Dr. Proudfoot.

1910. Everett Raymond Buckalew. Born on 24 August 1912. Everett Raymond died on 13 September 1968; he was 56. Buried in Briery Mountain, Preston Co., WV.

Died in a farming accident on the farm of his niece, Lenora switzer Crowe, in Somerset, PA. As the story goes, George Washington Bucklew left the homeplace to his son Homer Earl. In time, Homer Earl sold the property to his brother, Everett, for the reported sum of $750. Everett died in a farming accident when his tractfor upset on him while working on home place on Briery Mountain. Everett is buried on home place. Prior to his death, Everett sold the homeplace to his niece, Lenora Elizabeth Sweitzer Crowe (daughter of Rachel Ada Bucklew Sweitzer) and her husband George Crowe. This is the property owned by Phillip and possibly the same property owned by William and Andrew.
