Transcription of letter from Faith Boney Bell Birznieks: "My grandmother, Emma Buckalew Boney, was the kindest, sweetest person I have ever met. She had snow white hair. My mother, Emily, was her baby. When Mother got in trouble, she would wrap up in her mother's longapron and no one dare touch her! I have a quilt that mother's grandmother, Nancy Griffin Buckalew, made about 1918 from parts of the boys/ shirts (after the elbows wore out). Nothing went to waste back then. My parents both taught Sunday School, and Mom played the piano in church. Good people!"
