John Alexander first married Virginia Caroline Whitman. Born on 1 January 1883.

After 1885 when John Alexander was 25, he second married Little.

4077. Mary Ann Harriet Robinson. Born on 30 May 1860.

4078. James W. Robinson. Born on 15 July 1861 in AL ? James W. died in MS on 23 December 1902; he was 41. Buried in Liberty Bapt. Ch. Cem., Duffee, MS.

There seems to be some confusion at this point as to which name is correct,
on the Census for 1900. He is listed as James W Robinson and Jessie Mae
Wheeler, one of his granddaughters, also says his name was James. The death
certificate for Betty Robinson, his wife, also lists James Wilson Robinson
as his name, Mattie Sessions was the informant for the death certificate.
Information received from Billy Joe Robinson on 17 January 1998, indicates
his name to be James Wilaver Robinson.
As of now, there doesn't seem to be an explanation why he is listed as
William A Robinson on his grave marker and James W other places. He is also
listed on his marriage license as James W Robinson.
Evidently James could not write, at least not very well. On his marriage
license and on the Consent form for the marriage of his daughter Martha,
both appear to be signed for him, and noted by an "X" are the words "his
mark".

On 9 November 1881 when James W. was 20, he married Bettie McCraw, in MS. Bettie died in Lake, Newton Co., MS. Buried on 15 March 1935 in Liberty Bapt. Ch. Cem., Duffee, MS.

Notes for Bettie McCraw:
Bettie is shown in the 1880 Census records of Perry C., AL. apparently
living with a cousin, along with her mother who is shown as a widow at that
time. There is also a Bettie McCraw of the same age shown living in Clarke
Co., Ms in 1880, which could have been the same one, shown living with a
brother, W C McCraw in Enterprise, neither has been confirmed at this time.
