CSSA at UWO is a non-profit, USC ratified student club. CSSA was founded in 1980's and is widely recognized by students from China.

The main objective of CSSA is to help new students and visiting scholars from China in adjusting to their new environment at UWO. This includes facilitating their learning activities, as well as fostering community spirit among students and scholars.

We are very proud of our past achievements. We have organized many events such as Chinese New Year celebrations, moon festival celebrations, entertainment events like dance parties, BBQ, movies, and sports events. We also hold academic help sessions all through the year, and each spring we give out information about Income Tax claims.

In addition, we also provide a weekly e-newsletter to all our members. This newsletter contains the latest news about our community, including upcoming events. And we also have an advertising section in the newsletter and online, which allows members to buy and sell items, look for rooms, look for rides, and exchange other various information.

Since CSSA is committed to contributing the best of Chinese heritage and culture to the multicultural environment of Canada, membership is open to everybody of Chinese and non-Chinese heritage alike. Everybody is welcome to join us.

In short, CSSA is a big family for all Chinese and a bridge between the East and the West.
