Education: Earned the Web Design certificate at Ohlone College after two semesters; will earn my AA degree next year. I am also pursuing a higher education in Multimedia.

Skills before taking the course: I did not have any skills relating to Web Design, or graphics.

How I entered the field of Multimedia: I worked as a proof operator at Wells Fargo, but it was the worst job I had ever. I was getting sick of it. One day, I saw a flyer for Multimedia Day at Ohlone College and I attended it. I was amazed to see some of the students' projects. From that day on, I decided to choose Graphic Arts and Web Design as my major. I took a couple of classes and earned a certificate in Web Site Design. I gained a lot of experience by designing the Web site for Business and Technology Division as my class project. I am really thankful to Valerie Landau and Vern Piumarta for giving me this chance. Before I finished my course, I had already got a decent, respectful and well paying job where I am not looked down on as just an employee, but a part of the company. Now I do not think of any other profession apart from Graphics and Web Design. I would say that Ohlone College's Multimedia programs are really great. And the best part is that the instructors and the faculty are very helpful and supportive. It is a great program. If I would have taken these classes at Masters Institute or any other institute, it would have cost me a fortune but here at Ohlone, the Multimedia course are at community college prices. I think more people should take advantage of this program, save money and best of all have a great career.
