Description
  This course is a general introduction to the area of computers and information technology, and is designed for all students. This survey course will examine a broad overview of topics including software, hardware, the networking of computer systems and information technology. The student will explore the implications of this technology with regard to today’s information society.
Objectives
 
1. To develop an understanding of basic components of computers, computer systems, computer networks, and computer information systems.
2. To be able to define and use appropriate vocabulary pertaining to computers.
3.

To develop a high degree of awareness of implications of the technology in today’s society.
