THE FINAL DAYS OR END TIMES

The Beginning of Sorrows

"And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." Matt. 24:4-8. We are in the final days that Jesus taught about in Matthew. These are the final days before the seven year tribulation period which will end with His glorious second coming. These are not the final days before the end of the world. Jesus told us that we would know the time by the signs.

Wars and rumors of wars. There are wars taking place in almost every part of the world today. In places where war has not yet broken out we are hearing of the impending battles to come. There are holy wars, wars over land, wars over oil, wars over ethnic cultures and religions. Nations are fighting with their neighbors, and fighting among themselves within their own borders. In every part of the world, with the exception of North America, there is some sort of war going on or about ready to explode. The kingdom of Hell is warring with the kingdom of Heaven as never before. There are more New Age "religions", more witches, satan worshippers, cults, hate groups, and terrorist groups than ever before in history.

Famine, pestilence, earthquakes. There is a great famine all over the world today. People are starving to death. Terrible storms and fires are destroying crops and flooding farm lands. There have been terrible droughts and below average temperatures that are affecting crops. The weather has seemingly gone crazy and it is causing famine all around the globe. There have been more major earthquakes in the past twenty years, than there were in the entire one hundred year period before. Pestilences are rampant all over the world. No nation is spared the effects of Aids and the HIV virus. People are dropping like flies. Tuberculosis has make a come back, but it is a different drug-resistant strain. There are several diseases that we haven't heard about for years making a new appearance. Small pox and Polio, to mention a couple. There is massive drug and alcohol abuse, sexual promiscuity and perversity is rampant. Our children are killing each other in the playgrounds, while we are killing our unborn children, saying that it is a woman's right to choose. How long do we think God will let this go on before it is time for judgement? "And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man," Gen. 6:3. "Then Jesus said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you?" Matt. 17:17. These are the beginning of sorrows. The last days before the rapture of the church, and the coming of the terrible seven year tribulation period. Things on earth are becoming worse every day.

"Verily I say to you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." Matt. 24:34. When did this generation start? First let us look at what Isaiah said in chapter 66, verse 8:"Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children." God is speaking here propheticly through Isaiah about the rebirth of the nation of Israel. And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase." "But, the Lord liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land." Jer. 23:3,8. This occurred on May 15, 1948. Israel became a nation again in one day! Ever since, the Jewish people who were dispersed around the earth have been coming home to their native land. And I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel, and they shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord thy God." Amos 9:14,15. The nation of Israel will belong to the Jewish people forever. And what is more, Jerusalem will be the capitol. Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the city shall be built to the Lord from the tower of Hananeel unto the gate of the corner. And the measuring line shall yet go forth over against it upon the hill Gareb, and shall compass about to Goath. And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields unto the brook of Kidron, unto the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy unto the Lord; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more for ever." Jer. 31:38-40. Jerusalem became the capitol of Israel in June of 1967. A generation in the Bible is about 40 years. I believe that this final generation began when Jerusalem became the capitol city of Israel again.

The signs are clear, we are the final generation, we are in the final days. The rapture will be soon. "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of Heaven, but my Father only. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh." Matt. 24:36,44. We can tell by the signs that we are already in the beginning of sorrows. Time is running out, the rapture will be soon. Are you ready? If you are unsure make your decision for Jesus now. Pray this prayer and truly mean it in your heart: Heavenly Father, I am a sinner Lord and I need a savior. I believe that Jesus is your Son and that He died to take away my sins. I ask you now Lord to forgive me of all my sins and wash me clean in the blood of Jesus. I thank you Lord for forgiving my sins, and I thank you for saving me. In Jesus name, Amen.

If you know Jesus as your savior, this is a wonderful time to be alive! What exciting things are about to happen. Jesus told us: And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." Luke 21:28
