After graduation I started Canton College, but discovered I wasn't
ready to hit the books so I worked until I married Cathy Akins from Lisbon,
the girl I dated in high school, on July 31, 1993. At that time,
Cathy was just beginning her junior year at Clarkson University and I went
back to Canton College. I received my Associates of Science in Human
Services in May 1995. My wife received her Bachelor of Science in
Biology from Clarkson at the same time. I then enrolled at Potsdam
College that fall. In Nov. 1995, my wife enlisted in the Army as
a Medical Laboratory Technician and left for Ft. Leonard Wood, MO.
I finished up the semester at Potsdam, then went to San Antonio, TX to
join my wife, who was beginning her advanced training. We were
in TX for a year then moved to Washington, DC for 6 months. We are
now at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, which is just outside of Baltimore.
I received my Bachelor of Science in History from Towson University in
Dec. 1998. But by far my biggest accomplishment is the birth of my
son, Zachary Donovan, on July 7, 1998. On June 7, 1999,
I began the Baltimore County Police Academy. I will graduate as a
police officer on Nov. 30, 1999. |
