After graduation, I stayed in Heuvelton for 2 years and worked at Woods
Farm Market and Garden Center while I figured out what I wanted to do.
I finally entered college in 1991 at Canton College of Technology.
I majored in Science Laboratory Technology and graduated in May 1993 with
my Associate's in Applied Science magna cum laude. I started dating
my now husband, Dirk Small of Miami, FL and Potsdam, NY, my last semester
at Canton. I then moved on to the Biology program at SUNY Potsdam
for one year. Then in May of 1994 I moved to Orlando, FL to be closer
to Dirk while he was in A school in the Navy. On August 22,1994 Dirk
and I were married in a small private ceremony in Orlando and I began a
career of Navy wife. I finished my Bachelor's at the University of
Central Florida majoring in Liberal Sciences. In May of 1996, we
moved to Charleston, South Carolina where Dirk completed his 2 years of
training to become a Nuclear Engineering Chemist. We were there 10 months
before moving on to Norfolk/Virginia Beach, VA and getting stationed on
the USS John C. Stennis (CVN--74). I worked as a environmental lab
technician and microchemist for 2 years. We were on the east coast
until the end of the Stennis' maiden deployment in August 1998 and we moved
to San Diego, CA. We are here until January of 2000. I am currently
working as a librarian at a biotech supply company called PharMingen in
La Jolla, CA. We don't have any kids on the menu until at least after
the Navy. We haven't decided where we will end up after the Navy
but we are SURE it will be some place WARM.

After graduation I got married and then divorced in 1992. Not much to tell there. There was not much worth remembering in that time frame of my life. In 1992 I worked at a warehouse in Ogdensburg doing office work and warehouse work. Between 1992 and 1993 I lived it up and got all the trouble out of my system. In 1993 I met Michael Scott Bell ( he goes by Scott) and found the love of my life. We had a son in 1996, his name is Michael. In October of 1998 I started working for The New York State Small Business Development Center in Canton located on the SUNY Canton College Campus as Office Manager. It is an interesting job and I love it. We help people that are looking to start a small business or help people that are in business and are having troubles as well. Scott has his own construction business called Payless Construction. So if there is anyone reading this that needs any work done give us a call he is really good at what he does and is very reasonable in price. 394-0208. Our son is the light of our life. We can not have any more so of course he is very spoiled. I'm living in the Lisbon area and would never leave this lovely place we call home. Well that's it not much has happened in ten years but can't wait for the next ten. See everyone at the reunion. | ||
