I've got some news about CTY, and also a few difficulties I've been having with the site, so please bear with me. First of all, for anyone who went to CTY for first session at Lancaster in '99, our documentary is finally going to be on TV!! Remember all those video cameras? John's Hopkins says to look for it sometime this year. The second thing I have to mention is some things that aren't working, or problems I've been having in general with this page. I'm in the process of going through the page to make sure everything works. Here's the update of things that are being dumb: my links page in process and the CTY '99 pictures. There's a code problem with the links, but who knows what happened to the pictures. For a warning, do not ever use angelfire, they suck. For some reason they decided to delete my page there, which had all the pictures from Lan.1.98, so it'll take me a couple of days to rescan and upload the 50+ pictures I had on that site, back onto this site, because i think i have enough room to do so. The map is working again for now, I got to fixing the code today. Plus I'm still working on some new additions. So keep checking back... Thanks ***************************************************************** I've kind of been looking back at CTY recently, because its been hitting me just how long ago it was that I was there, I dont really know what to call this, but its here if you'd like to read it. ***************************************************************** Here's the memory map of F&M, that's been a group effort thanks to some great people. ::smiles:: If you would like to become one of those great people, all you have to do is e-mail me one or two or three memories, and the place on the map that they occured, and also your name. Hi, my name is Allison.So, you may be thinking what is CTY? Well, CTY is...heaven. If you were wondering some stuff about me: I've been at CTY since '97- I've got one more summer left. I went to Lancaster first session three times- So what if I'm afraid of change? I belong to College I, even though there are no more collages- Dont make fun! You might know me and my friends from CTY '98- we spent most of our time on Klein 3, in the coed lounge(the one we decorated with paper and real bubbles). My group of friends from CTY, Lancaster 1999, was the biggest and most diverse I've ever had. So I didn't associate always with one specific group. Here's one of those chain surveys I did (for your viewing pleasure) just in case the above information didn't satisfy you... All About Allison... Almost all of this page is about CTY, and for all you perspective CTYers, here are some things you might wanna look at: The Official IAAY/CTY Page run by Johns Hopkins. For all you CTYers past and present, this webpage is dedicated to you, and to all the memories we made those magical summers. This page is under construction. Please remember it is always being added to, and the following is what I have so far... We all have reasons we go to CTY, but this is a list of why some of us go. CTY has always has a poetic effect on me, and I always find a quote during CTY that describes and kind of fit CTY, these are a collection of poems and quotes that Fit CTY. Top Ten lists are everywhere at CTY, on T-Shirts to part of class assignments, here is a random collection I have seen over the years. This is my personal essay, on CTY, and how I feel about it, its a little sentimental, but its the way i feel. This is the imfamous CTY Purity Test. Never before had there been something to measure how obsessed with CTY you are until now... After months of patient waiting, and working on this, my CTY Lan.1.98 picture gallery is finally ready. See the pictures, read the passionfruit, and remember all "those times"... The Passion Fruit for CTY 1999 is up. It has toasts to alot of things go look to see some of the wacky things I toasted. I also added a little something for the curious. You asked, and now were finally ready to tell.I worked for about the last hour, and wrote every code name we had at CTY this session, and who they really were. I've added a page for first year CTYers, it has my tips, and the things I've learned about CTY, what to bring, what to avoid,etc. I also just added another essay I wrote last night. Dont ask me where the inspriation came from, I dont know. I just knew what I was thinking would make a good essay or something for my CTY webpage. Ok, I've put up the CTY passionfruit from the August 1999 CTY reunion, wish you all could have been there...but here are some of the best memories since you weren't. :) I finshed typing one of the two essays I wrote during CTY, for no particular reason other than to write. That's the best. Anyways, you can go read Forever Young there. Tell me what you think so far! Alan and I had a conversation about CTY, and what we felt like the night before we've gone in past years. It kind of morphed into different things later on. It's a pretty interesting conversation, that will be worth reading, because it provides prospective into our lives.
