The scripture verses listed,
taken from the King James Version of the Bible,
pertain to the various bible doctrines we will be looking at. They are by no
means the only ones. You are encouraged to look up on your own perhaps as part
of your private devotions and through a good concordance the many other verses
of scripture pertaining to a particular doctrine.
THE DOCTRINE OF MAN "ANTHROPOLOGY"
A. How man was created (Genesis 1:27 & 2:7)
B. God created man for His glory (Isaiah 43:7);(Colossians 1:16);
(Revelation 4:11)
C. God created man perfect. He made him in His own image (Genesis 1:26-27)
D. Man has a personality and intelligence (Genesis 2:20)
E. He has a will (Genesis 3:6)
F. Man had original righteousness and holiness (Ecclesiastes 7:29)
G. Man has immortality (I Corinthians 15:54)
H. Man has a conscience (Romans 2:15)
I. Temptation of Man.
1. Satan was the tempter (Genesis 3:1-6)
2. Eve received the temptation (Genesis 3:1-6);(II Corinthians 11:3);
(I Timothy 2:14)
J. Adam and Eve experienced immediate results
1. Spiritual death (Genesis 2:17);(Romans 6:23)
2. Physical punishment (Genesis 3:16-19)
K. Man has a sinful nature. He lost communion with God (Romans 5:12)
1. His spiritual understanding has been darkened (I Corinthians 2:14)
2. His mind and conscience has been damaged (Titus 1:15)
3. His will has been weakened (Romans 7:15-25)

6. Man is in a hopeless condition and without Christ has no hope (Ephesians 2:12)

L. Redemption of Man
1. Man's standing in Christ before God
**a. He receives Christ's righteousness (Phili.3:9)

2. Man's state in Christ
**a. He is saved (II Timothy 1:9)
**b. He is dead to sin (I Peter 2:24)

M. The final state of man
1. Unredeemed man has eternal separation from God
**a. He experiences the second death (Revelation 20:14);(Romans 6:23)
**b. He will exist in the lake of fire for all eternity (Revelation 20:15)
2. Redeemed man has eternal fellowship with God
**a. He experiences eternal life (Revelation 22:3-5)
**b. He lives in heaven (Revelation 21:3)
**c. He has eternal security (Revelation 21:4)
N. Man cannot be made righteous or justified by the ten commandments
1. Four fold purpose of the ten commandments
**a. To reveal man's sinfulness (Romans 3:19, 20)
**b. To reveal the hideous nature of sin (Romans 7: 8-13)
**c. To reveal the Holiness of God (
**d. To show man his own inadequacy, and thereby prepare him to accept
God's Grace in Christ (Galatians 3:24)
We cannot be justified by the law or made righteous (Romans 3:20);(Galatians 2:21)
We should claim what the apostle Paul tells us in Galatians 2:20.
"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I,
but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh
I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave
himself for me."
