Moonstone is a translucent, milky stone - a potassium aluminium silicate variety of deldspar. Its colours range from yellow, peach, pink, grey, colourless, green and blue.

General Characteristics
Moonstone generally asists with emotional release - it provides the key to maintaining balance and wellness on all levels. It has a calm, flowing peace that helps restore emotional balance in everyday experiences. Excellent for understanding dreams about your emotional state and also assists in sensitive response to the emotional state of others.
Blue/Grey Moonstone: Heart Chakra
This colour of moonstone is especially healing to the stimach, spleen and pancreas. It relieves anxiety and stress. It is an emotional balancer and soother and is useful for women during menstruation to balance hormonal and emotional activity. It helps men to become more in tune with their feminine aspect.
Orange/Peach/Pink Moonstone: Navel or Solar Plexus Chakra
This colour of moonstone helps soften the ego and allows more vulnerability. It enhances ones giving capacity and creative, interpersonal relationships. Also helps relieve stress and enhances self-confidence, warmth and nurturing. Influences the ovaries, spleen, womb, colon and bladder.
Green Moonstone: Heart Chakra
Green moonstone is most effective in enhancing relationships with children, whether they are our own or others'. It opens the heart to unconditional love and assists with developing tolerance. It is a wonderful stone to use when angry with children who are behaving in ways we find unacceptable. It helps us to understand children's spontaneity. Use green moonstone when relationships with your own children are strained, particularly when they are teenagers. It will assist in providing a feeling of detachment from the behaviour and an understanding of why the behaviour occurs. Like other moonstones of all colours, green moonstone is a feminine stone which relates to the cycles of the moon and assists with problems of menstruation, pregnancy, birth, menopause and hormone imbalance. It is an excellent stone to carry when fertility is in question and can be utilised after ceasing hormone replacement therapies or birth control pills.
