Tournament Sign ups
Notices for all tournaments and formats will be posted in the or in front of the pro shop and men's locker room three weeks in advance. For weekend tournaments the cut off date is 6:00 PM on the Thursday preceding the tournament. USGA rules apply in all tournaments. Must sign up with the Pro-shop.

Tournament Cancellation Policy

Please acknowledge all cancellation dates posted on sign up sheets. Those who do not cancel before the designated time will be responsible for all applicable fees.

Men's Tournament Schedule

Spring Open April 16th A four man scramble.  9 AM Shotgun.
Hornblower Qualifying May 7th Rain date May 14th
Barnes Cup May 27th, 28th, and 29th Two man best medal play with both net and gross prizes.
Hornblower Pro-Am June 1st Prelim to the Hornblower memorial tournament.  Member have the opportunity to play with a top amateur player.  Four person teams with net and gross prizes.  $50.00 entry fee includes lunch and a buffet dinner.
Hornblower Memorial June 2nd and 3rd Top amateur players compete in a two day medal play tournament.  members may attempt to qualify on Sunday May 9th.
Parent/Child & Father son Qualifying June 17th  
Men's Scotch June 17th Two man alternate shots.  Minimum combined handicap of 12.
Annual Member Guest July 14th, 15th, and 16th Flights of eight two-man teams play seven 9 hole matches.  Match play with handicaps.
Club Championship July 22-23rd, 29-30th Individual match play, single elimination.  Flights of 16 based on handicap.  format to be determined on Club Championship.
Men's Senior Championship August 6th Senior (50 and over), Junior (50 and under)
Withington Cup August 26-27th, September 2-4th. Flights of sixteen two man teams compete in match play.  Flights determined by qualifying round on August 23rd.  Handicap applicable.
Presidents Cup September 16th and 17th Format TBA
Cape Cod League September 28th 1:00 PM
1 Day Member Guest October 9th 9:30 AM shotgun.  one guest only.
Fall Festival Shotgun October 22nd

TUESDAY PLAY

Tuesdays are Ladies Day at PCC and all members are encouraged to come and join the ladies group. 18 holer's tee off first, followed by 9 holer's. Players not signed up for tournament play may tee off after the 9 holers. There will be sign-up sheets posted in the Ladies locker room (subject to number participating in the tournament). The last Tuesday of June, July, and August will be Scramble, followed by a luncheon. Tuesday play starts at 8:30 A.M. All Scramble tee off at 8:30 A.M. 

LADIES GROUP PLAY

Saturday:                     Tee-off at 10:57 AM, immediately following Men's EDO.
                                    To play, call the clubhouse at 746-2342 after 9:30 AM.
                                    Must arrive 20 minutes prior to tee time. 

Sunday:                        Tee-off at 11:15 AM, immediately following the Men's EDO.
                                    To play, call the clubhouse at 746-2342 after 9:30 AM.
                                    Must arrive 20 minutes prior to tee time. 

Thursday:                      Twilight League meets in the Ladies locker room at 5:00 PM.

Opening Day

  1. 9-Hole Scramble starting at 4:00 PM
  2. Followed by dinner, prizes and PWGA Meeting

Dolly Sullivan Qualifying

  1. All players must be members of WGAM, with a USGA Index of 28.4 or less.
  2. Players may sign up for either of two qualifying dates posted.
  3. Tee Times will be assigned.
  4. Participants must qualify with another qualifying person or a member of the Tournament Committee.
  5. Lowest gross and three lowest net players of all participants make up the team.

June Member/Guest

  1. Sign up forms will be mailed.
  2. Format to be announced.
  3. 1:00 PM Shotgun followed by dinner and prizes.

Senior's Championship

  1. 9 or 18 holes stroke play at full handicap.
  2. Two flights: 18 holes age 55+, 9 holes age 55+
  3. Tee times will be assigned preceding Tuesday play.

Directors Cup

  1. 36 holes stroke play at full handicap up to USGA maximum.
  2. Three rounds scheduled.
  3. Tee times will be assigned.

Club Championship

  1. Must be a full or family member.
  2. Tee times will be assigned by the Pro Shop.
  3. Current Handicap Index on date of play will be used.
  4. Played in flights of 8.  If you sign up for the Championship flights, the qualifying round will be played on the first Saturday date. The Defending Champion is the #1 seed and does not have to qualify. There is no handicap limit for the Championship Flights. The Championship Flight qualifying round is 18 holes stroke play for seeding. If you sign up for the Championship Flight and do not qualify, you proceed no further in the tournament. The Championship flight is played at scratch.  There will be a sudden death play off to decide ties for the first qualifying spot. All other ties are decided by lot.
  5. Other flights do not have a qualifying round. Players will be seeded by Handicap Index, with the lowest eight going into the first flight, next eight into the second  flight, etc.
  6. Matches will be played in foursomes. The final round will be played in twosomes.
  7. Flights other than the Championship Flight will be played at full handicap, up to the USGA maximum, with the higher handicap player receiving the full difference  between the handicap of the two players.
  8. The format is 18 hole match play. General numerical draw will determine pairings.
  9. All flights other than the Championship Flight commence on the first Sunday date.
  10. All matches must be played on the designated day and time.

August Member-Guest

  1. Sign up forms will be mailed.
  2. Format to be announced.
  3. 8:30 A.M. Shotgun followed by lunch and prizes.

T-Cup

  1. Two day tournament held during Ladies weekend group play.
  2. Different format each day chosen by the Pro Shop.
  3. The Pro Shop will blind draw partners for the play.

Ringers Tournament

  1. Played during regular Ladies Group Play (following Withington Cup Matches)
  2. All PWGA members with valid 18 hole USGA Index eligible.
  3. Two person teams (pick your own partner) with a combined handicap of no less than 30. Play two 18 holes rounds and pick your best net and gross scores for each hole from both days to make your best 18 hole score. (If your team can only play one day, you may submit one card if you so choose but you can't play each day with a different partner.)
  4. Handicaps will be adjusted to 75% of up to USGA maximum of 40.4(i.e.: Women's USGA Index of 40.4 converts to 47 handicap here. 75% of 47 is 35) DON'T FORGET-YOU WILL BE GETTING 4 SHOTS AT EACH HOLE!
  5. Prizes will be given out for the best nets and first gross. (To be determined by the number of players.)

Skins Tournament

  1. Individual Cash Tournament. Format/rules to be announced.

Closing Day

  1. 9 hole scramble starting at 2:30 P.M.
  2. Followed by dinner, season's prize awards and PWGA Meeting.

Ladies President's Cup

  1. Two day member/member.
  2. Four 9 hole matches of different formats.

Mixed Socials

  1. 9 hole format starting at 3:00 P.M. in May, June, August and September: Mixed Member-Guest/August 1P.M. shotgun.
  2. Beef Stew Open in October.

Turkey Shoot

  1. TBA

Mixed Scotch Championship
