Comments: Just saw the documentary "Where
angels fear to tread" on ABC, excellent. Death
issues are close to my heart and mind so the
events covered by the media were not entirely
new to me. What was powerfully portraid was Dr
Nitschke's dedication to the euthenasia cause
which I also support. It is my hope that this
man's courage will inspire other viewers to
expel myths and taboos about this and other
death related issues both socially and
politically. God Bless.

Comments: We saw your program on the ABC
tonight and we were determined to find your site
to send you a message of support. We both
consider that what was done by Andrews et al was
disgusting. It is obvious that none of those
people have had to sit by and see a loved one
die in agony. Also, have they never been
responsible for having an animal put down
because of its pain or advanced illness? We both
hope that they all die agonising deaths without
the assistance of someone as compassionate as Dr
Nitschke. We also wonder how many of those who
voted against your Bill, voted for the American
aircraft to bomb Iraq? - Bible-bashing Bastards

Comments: Philip Nitschke is one of the
true heroes of this century, and I would like to
thank him for what he has done. He has advanced
the progress of the civilization of the world
more than somewhat, and although I have no
personal interest in the cause, I support the
right of people to have a say in the manner of
their departure from life. What's the latest?
Best wishes Eric Amo

Comments: As a member of the VESQ, and a
new surfer, this is one of the first netsites I
wanted to see. I have heard that here is where
the media found out about most of the five
people who slipped off away from an unbearable
existence (how I wish the other two had this
recourse) and I wanted to see for myself and
congratulate the authors. I only hope that
somewhere, maybe even in Queensland, another
government will see the sheer logic and sense of
VE legislation. We can all only hope, before it
is our turn

terminally ill people to end their suffering and
pain as it is an efficient and painless way to
terminate ones life. I hope the red tape is cut
through to enable people to leave this life and
be at peace !

Comments: As a nurse I have lost count
the number of times a patient has begged me to
let them die. The numberr of times I walked away
from other patients knowing they would die if I
left. The site is great and if it can prevent
the inhumane existance we in the medical
profession force on our terminally ill, it will
have done it's job

Philip Linchkie's Home page? If not, could you
PLEASE tell me where I can find it !!!!! I have
used all the search engines, used every link
from every page, where the hell is it ( if it
still exists that is ). Anyway, well done. Yours

Comments: I can't believe that so many
people think they have the right to tell an
individual how their life should end. Why not
give individuals the choice to end their lives
when it becomes too much to live, if we
legislate FOR euthanasia we are giving people a
choice, not everyone has to par take but at
least those who want to end the suffering have
the choice. Keep campaigning until we wear them
down, the terminally ill deserve that much!

Comments: We have been watching your
progress with interest, on television. The front
page of our 'Listener' was all about how to
contact you. My husband and I, are all in favour
of euthanasia. When the time comes when we have
lost our faculties, and have to be dependent on
others to do everything for us, then our lives
will no longer be worth living. We are in our
seventies, and live on a hill overlooking the
sea, in Thames. How much longer we will be able
to live here, is anybody's guess. We both have
arthritis. I have had a knee replacement. and my
husband has spondylitis. When the time comes
that we feel our quality of life is no more, and
our government is still anti-euthanasia, then we
will take the law into our own hands. However, I
hope that, by then, it will have been made
legal. Nobody has a right to tell another person
what they can, or cannot do with their own body.
Keep fighting, and don't stop. You will win out
eventually. At least, we can use the computer,
which we both do for several hours daily. My
husband teaches, and we both write stories. At
least there doesn't appear to be anything wrong
with our brain, even though our bodies don't
perform as they used to.

Comments: It is a pity the politicians
don't or can't be bothered to listen to the
opinions and wishes of the voters who put their
faith and trust in those they voted in. By trust
I mean, trust that they represent them in the
parliment and laws that the parliment makes. A
pity the politicans don't seem to care! What a
pity it will be when those voters will change
their minds about who they cast their votes for.
I believe the majority of the Australian People

euthanasia and would be willing to help in any
way i can. although i am not wealthy, i have
great admiration for dr. philip nitschke and for
the pioneer work that he and the n.t. government
have started. and i believe it is like wildfire
the more people try to xtinguish it faster it
burns. please keep up the good work and remember
that in reality all thinking people are behind

Comments: It is good to see that there is
still wide spread support for Euthanasia in the
general community despite what the Politicians
think. I would support such a law 100%. I would
also like to see the law re-instated and similar
laws introduced into all the states and
territories in this country.

a paper on the policy process by which the
federal Government overturned the NT
legislation. A history of the events, including
who the players were, what they said, what went
on behind the scenes would be most useful either
by email or by post. I will be happy to pay any
costs. Thanks David

about the overturning of the NT's Euthanasia

Comments: As a nurse I have seen many
patients suffer during the terminal stage of
their illnesses. Yes, morphine can be given to
ease the pain but morphine also sedates the
individual so they are frequently unable to
consciously benefit from the existance of being
pain free. There are also illnesses that do not
bring the horrendous pain that morphine is
required for but are nonetheless tragic to
experience - diseases where the mind is trapped
in a useless body, or where the dementing mind
is wasting in a healthy body. For the individual
who chooses to die rather than suffer the
indignities of a lengthy dying process we need a
legislated policy for euthanasia. The government
should allow the Australian public to vote on
Right-to-die legislation that reflects the will
of the people and not the dictates of a
religious or political body.
