Indications are that Nawaz is distancing himelf from the military in political matters even though he continues to appoint military officials in govt organizations.Usually provinces donot agree to federal suggestions in matters of appointing governors and generally retired military officials who are amenable to orders from the center get appointed. - A lackadaisical unconvincing trio in Naushad, Rameez and Raqeeb have been named the new selectors of the Pakistan cricket team. All three lack pizzazz and aggressiveness which is necessary for high level appointments in cricket. Naushad a retired army colonel and untested cricket umpire played as a wicketkeeper opening batsman for a few tests. Has been in several failed selection committees and was instrumental with Saleem Altaf in trying to destroy the present pakistani team by bringing in untested juniors. Rameez an opening bat too who early on tried to copy Majid Khans style was a relatively successful opener, a failed captain and a not too great commentator.
