JavaScriptorium

This page contains links to some simple JavaScript applications. I hope you find them interesting.

Due to variations in the way different browsers implement JavaScript, I cannot guarantee that the examples will work with your particular setup. These examples have been tested on Safari, Netscape (4, 6 and 7), Mozilla and Internet Explorer (4 and 5) on MacOS, Linux and Windows. They also work using Konqueror 2.2.1 on Linux. In some cases I have provided alternative versions which should run on other browsers, such as Opera, OmniWeb and iCab.

Note: When you select an example (from the menu below) it will open in a separate window. Close the example's window when you're done.

"The programmer, like the poet, works only slightly removed from pure thought-stuff. He builds his castles in the air, from air, creating by exertion of the imagination."

-- Frederick P. Brooks Jr, The Mythical Man Month (1974)
