- Occasionally, there are miner blessings
from the Lord (can any blessings from the Lord be called miner?)
that enrich our lives and speak of His love. Here are recorded
several of these blessings.

- 1. Sevilla and I are living in the America's
Best Susanville, CA Motel while we await the Lord's direction.
Saturday night, June 5, a band had reserved all eight of the
double bed rooms. As the reservation predated our arrival, we
had to move into a single bed room which was highly inconvenient
and did not meet our needs. However, we were willing to move
as there weren't any other possibilities. Two days before the
band arrived, we were informed that they had canceled one double
bed room, the one we were currently occupying. We didn't have
to move. Praise the Lord!

- 2. I wanted to sign up for internet service
in Susanville, CA as we anticipated remaining here for at least
another month. When I inquired at the local ISP, I was informed
that the enrollment fee was only $10.00 until June 15, a substantial
savings off the regular price.

- 3. While riding in a car, I never read
street signs nor seldom see other, larger signs. I wanted to
attend church and knew it was near but didn't know exactly where
it was. Compelled to walk by the unloving attitude of the church
members who refused to take us to church, I wanted to know exactly
where it was. Riding home from the mini storage unit where our
belongings were lodged, I was idly scanning the street when the
Lord focused my sight on a brick building and I was able to trace
out the letters of the name of the church. This was the only
sign I was able to see during the drive home. The Lord occasionally
takes direct control of my eyes enabling me to see something
I would not otherwise observe.

- 4. We needed to sell some of our possessions
to finance Fleet Feet for Jesus. I asked James Heilig to drive
me home from the storage unit with several bags and boxes we
wanted to sort. While riding with him, I casually offered to
sell him a weed eater. He instantly bought it and inquired if
we had anything else to sell, promising to give us top price.
We made an agreement to drive out to the storage unit Sunday,
June 7,,1999 to finalize the sale of most of our unneeded possessions.
Praise the Lord!

- 5. Beverily, my older sister had loaned
us $250 for a special need. I had agreed to repay her at a fixes
rate, however, during a fit of filial love, she forgave the debt.
She is a most loving and generous person, possessing the spiritual
gift of helps which she uses extensively to help others who are
in financial need such as missionaries and poor children. She
is far ahead in the use of gifts then most Christians and is
blessed by the Lord for her generosity.
