Born at 14:07 AEDT on 11/11/1997 at Penrith, New South Wales, Australia.
There's nothing sophisticated here yet, I mean sound should wait until he has something to say, besides I'm hungry, I'm Wet, Who filled my nappy with brown stuff etc. All important things to a growing baby, I'm sure, but even the most lovable mum-and-dad find them repetitive, so I won't subject you to them yet (1).
He had some problems feeding early on, and in fact, Jeanette and Cameron had to go back to hospital for a few days for remedial breast feeding classes. To quote an anonymous 'uncle' of Cameron's:
Babies are born stupid; You've got to teach them everything !!! |
However, after lessons from Dad, he's getting on well and feeding for a decent amount of time. He's taking after me in so many different ways (2) but the worst (?) is that according to Jeanette, he hardly stirs during the day.
The problem is that come 1 AM, he just wants to party party party (or at least winge winge winge). I don't know if it's deliberate or not, but I have no problem getting him to settle at 3 or 4 AM (3). Let's just say that I have my suspicions about the motives of half the adults in this Family !!
Due to the unmitigated kindess and bounty of her employer (4), Jeanette has decided to accept redundancy. What this means is we get a Cameron-cheque for Jeanette staying home to look after Cameron-baby. It's a bit longer than your average maternity-leave, but then it pays a bit better too. This will mean that the focus of when or where Jeanette goes back to work can be based a bit more on whats good for her, Cameron and myself, rather than being based on money.

(1) You will, however, be required to listen to any recorded attempts (or attempted recordings) on any musical instrument.
(2) looks, intelligence, etc.
(3) .....but it does get me to work early (and I do wait until he's settled before I leave).
(4) the cheque is still in the mail.
