CATS LIKE PEOPLE WHO FEAR THEM

When a cat enters a room full of people, it is most likely to make its way to the one who has a fear of it. To make it even worse, the cat will probably rub up against the fearful person's legs which will cause this person to panic even more. It may even jump up in this person's lap and settle down there.

There really is an explanation for this! When a cat enters a room full of people, it notices that many of these people are staring at it. More than likely, they are the cat lovers who are looking lovingly at the cat. But in feline terms, to be stared at is to be mildly threatened. The only person in the group who is not doing this is the one who is fearful of cats who is hoping that this feline will approach anyone else but him. So the fearful one will look in any direction, any, except in the direction of the cat. Unfortunately for the person who fears cats, this has the opposite effect. The cat, who is looking for a friendly lap to sit, looks to the person who is not demonstrative, and who is not staring at it! So, guess who the cat chooses? Its choice is the most nonintimidating person there - the one who fears cats!
