"Hiram, in his time, was one of the oldest residents of Cherryhill Twp.," Indiana Co., PA. (From The History of Indiana Co., page 1358). He is buried in Rich Hill Cemetery, Indiana Co., PA. He married Catherine A. Wike, about 1845, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Wike. She was born September 22, 1822 in Bedford Co., PA, and died in 1900 in Indiana Co., PA.

MARY ALICE GIBSON AND SAMUEL N. MOORHEAD
Mary Alice Gibson ( Hiram, Samuel A. ) was born September 11, 1847 in Cherryhill Twp., Indiana Co., PA, and died in 1918. She married Samuel N. Moorhead, April 25, 1870, the son of David Moorhead and Lydia Hahn. He was born July 13, 1846 in Mechanicburg, PA, and died January 2, 1907. Mary Gibson was a school teacher. Samuel had established himself as a dealer in farm implements, sewing machines, pianos, organs, etc. He was one of the best known men in his line, in that part of Indiana Co. (History or Indiana Co., page 1245).

Thomas Gibson ( Hiram, Samuel A. ) was born October, 1850 in Cherryhill Twp., Indiana Co., PA, and died November 27, 1918 in Idamar, PA. He is buried in the Rich Hill Cemetery. He married Margaret Emiline Ow, about 1872. She is the daughter of Joseph Ow and Ruth McGregor. She was born 1853 in Indiana Co., PA. and died November 22, 1897. He married Sarah Belle Rupert Clark, July 30, 1903, the daughter of Uriah Rupert and Margaret Kunkle. She was born September 17, 1873 in Shelocta, PA, and died June 21, 1913. Thomas Gibson was a well known and sucessful farmer. When he died in 1918, his two daughters of Sarah Belle, were living with him on his farm near Idamar.

Irving W. Gibson ( Hiram, Samuel A. ) was born October 17, 1852 in Indiana, PA, and died May 5, 1933 in Indiana Co., PA. He married (1) Sadie E. Thomas, May 18, 1876. He married (2) Mary Elizabeth McCune, 1881, the daughter of Leonard McCune and Elizabeth Ruffner. In 1903, Irving was the owner of his father's farm, where he was born. His place of business, was on South 12th Street in Indiana, PA, where he sold Osborne Harvesting machinery. (History of Indiana Co., page 1358).

He married Lydia Jane "Jennie" Langham, a d/o Josiah Langham and Susan Conrath. She was born January 17, 1868 in Indiana Co., PA, and died April 5, 1953. Stephen's father, Hiram, was living with him in 1910. Hiram was 89 years old at that time.
