The Singer 185 is a 3/4 size machines but you would not know it by its weight--its metal and its heavy.
While the threading diagram is not printed on the machine like some Singers, if you have ever threaded any Singer, this model contains no surprises.
This 185 is not in the condition we like in our collection, but the price was right and the machine works fine. The original green foot pedal and original green cord are still attached. There are paint chips on the handwheel and faceplates.
Our 185 is somewhat like a full-size Featherweight in its capabilities, simplicity, ease and smoothness of operation. It is a straight-stitch machine and it does that beautifully.
