Our 1954 John Deere 60 was originally purchased in New York by Elizabeth's late father. It was used on her Grandpa Schulte's farm and then was used by her middle brother to push lake-effect snow from his hilltop home's driveway near Buffalo, New York.
This was a working tractor on the farm and didn't spend a lot of time being kept undercover. Yes, it is a green John Deere! The tractor was mothballed for about a year after we purchased it awaiting transport south to our home in WV.
The engine had seized up during an extended length of inactivity. We were able to free the engine and get it started in the summer of 2005. The tractor was moved to WV during September 2006.
