136. John Rodman was born on May 14 1679 in Barbados Island. He moved to Newport, Rhode Island, with his father, in 1682 from Barbados Island. He was admitted a free-man of Newport on May 1 1706 in Newport, Rhode Island. He resided from 1712 to 1726 in Flushing, Long Island. He moved to Burlington, New Jersey in 1726 from Flushing, Long Island. He owned lands on the Neshaminy creek, in Bensalem township, about 4 miles from Bristol, from 1744 to 1756 in Bucks county, Pennsylvania. He devised the property to his son William. He died on Jul 13 1756 in Burlington, New Jersey. He was married to Margaret Grosse on Aug 7 1705.
