Ina Fern Dolder was born Oct 16, 1899 near Sheridan, LaSalle county, Illinois, the fourth child of Louis Emile Dolder and Anna Clara Ulrich. When she was four years old, Ina moved with her family, to Pioneer, Iowa. She was raised and educated there.

On Tuesday morning, Feb 25, 1919, Ina was married to Andrew Jacobsen at the Methodist Parsonage in Humboldt, Iowa with Rev. Stuart presiding. The couple made their home on the farm west of Humboldt. Ina and Andrew farmed until his death in 1953. Ina then moved into Humboldt where she lived until moving to Des Moines in 1973.

While living in Humboldt, Ina was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Farm Bureau Women, and a former member of the Rebekah Lodge.

Ina passed away Nov 6, 1981 in West Des Moines, Iowa and is buried in Union Cemetery, Humboldt.
