i, my name is Martin de Villiers, and my family (Suzette and Shannon) and I, live in the beautiful suburb of Bonaero Park,
which is part of Kempton Park and close to the O.R. Thambo airport.
W
e also have my father-in-law, Neels Bezuidenhout who stays with us in a 3 bedroom house on our property.
A
nd we also have our friends Colin and Shireen Naicker, who stay in a flat on our property.
G
od has truly blessed us with a wonderful house and neighbours.
It is so quiet in our area and the occasional aeroplane that lands at OR Thambo airport does not disturb us too much.
T
here as so many different bird species that our garden is filled with bird calls each day. We also feed the birds and at the
same time we observer then is great detail. We have an Olive Thrush which was born on our property a few years ago. Now
everywhere we go in the garden the Olive Thrush is not far away.
E
arlier this year, the next generation of Olive Thrush was born to continue this tradition.
C
urrently we have identified over thirty different bird species other than the various varieties of Canaries, Finches and Mossies.
W
hen we moved here in May 2002, we felt like we had moved overseas. Everything was totally different from Kempton Park and
even the road I travelled to work was different and many people spoke with foreign accents, which made us feel like we had
moved to another country.
O
ne of the nicest things about staying in our home, is that I feel Blessed and like I am on holiday everyday.
The eight to ten people who stay here permanently also feel the same way about our home.
God's splendour is portrayed here in our garden and it is so nice to walk around the garden a hear and see the various
creatures He has placed here, for our enjoyment.
