The Piazza of San Marco is filled with music, lovers and pigeons (a million) and historic buildings. The square is overwhelming beautiful and even floods when the waters rise. It is surrounded by 16th century Renaissance building, 17th century baroque and the Napoleon neo-classical wing. Even this mix of architecture seems appropriate. The basilca and Napoleon wing close in the square. Napoleon called it the most beautiful drawing room of Europe.
