It depends on the time of year as to what a Bluebird eats. In the summertime a Bluebirds' Favorite foods include Grasshoppers, Crickets, ground beetles, and caterpillars. They also love spiders.

In the winter for those who don't migrate, they enjoy all kinds of berries. The insect population disappears when cold weather sets in, but you can buy meal worms at your local pet store to supplement their diet if you wish
