Voice: David Ogden Stiers Henchmen: Wiggins isn't his henchmen, but his servant, he goes with whatever Ratcliff says (David Ogden Stiers does Wiggins voice, as well as Ratcliffs). Another companion of Ratcliff is Percy, his selfish pug.
Motive: Getting all the gold in Virginia (there was no gold there, which was unknown by Ratcliff and his crew at the time).
Review: Ratcliff is a greedy, self-indulgent, arrogant, coward. He is established to find all the gold in Virginia, and keep it for himself. The jokes on him, there is no gold in Virginia, but that doesn't stop him. He's unquestionably determined, he strongly believes that the Indians of the land are hiding the gold from him. So he declares battle on the natives. Such arrogance causes a man's death, wounds another, risks the lives of nearly two dozen others, even risks his own existence; for something that doesn't even exist. Ratcliff is an entertaining villain, and that's about it. He doesn't give you that feeling you'd get from Scar or Frollo, they stay with you after you leave the movie. You think about them afterwards, about how evil and cruel they were, they are one of the things that stay with you from the film. Now that's a great villain. When you leave "Pocahontas," on the other hand, you think about the other elements of the movie, and not about Ratcliff's cruelty.
