MAYBE YOU CAN DO THIS SPECIAL FAVOR FOR ME, MY FRIEND
For the times when we're apart,
I want you to keep me in your heart and in your mind.
Just guietly close your eyes once in a while and imagine me here,
smiling and thinking such thankful thoughts of you.
For I spend so many quiet moments of my own thinking how much I miss you,
and how hard it is to be apart,
and how wonderful it is that you're always with me,
warn and cherished...
here in my heart.

MY FRIEND, THANKS YOU
Thank you for all the moments we'er shared-moments filled
with shared feelings and thoughs, dreams and wishes,
secrets, laughter and tears, and above all, friendship.
Each precious second will be treasured in my heart forever.
Thank you for taking time-time to stop and take an interest in me;
time to listen to my problems and help me find the solutions,
and most of all, time to smile at me and show you care.
Thank you for being you-you're a wonderful person.
You were there when I needed you to confide in and to ask advice from.
Through you, I began to understand and even like myself.
How can I ever tell you how much I care for you?
Thank you, my friend.

Around the corner I have a friend,
in this great city that has no end.
Yet the days go by and weeks rush on,
and before I know it, a year is gone.
And I never see my old friends face,
for life is a swift and terrible race.
He knows I like him just as well,
as in the days when I rang his bell.
We were younger then,
and now we are tired, busy men.
Tired of playing a foolish game,
tired of trying to make a name.
"Tommorow" I say "I will call on Jim,"
"just to show that I'm thinking of him.
But tommorow comes and tommorow goes,
and the distance between us grows and grows.
Around the corner - yet miles away.
"Here's a telegram, sir."
Jim died today.
And that's what we get and deserve in the end.
Around the corner a vanished friend.
Remember to always say what you mean. If you love someone, tell them. Don't
be afraid to express yourself. Reach out and tell someone what they mean to
you. Because when you decide that it is the right time, it might be too late.
Seize the day. Never have regrets. And most importantly, stay close to your
friends and family, for they have helped make you the person that you are
today. Pass this along to your friends. It could make a difference. A
difference between doing all that you can or having regrets which may stay
with you forever.
FRIENDS WITHOUT FACES
We sit and we type, and we stare at our screens
We all have to wonder, what this possibly means.
With our mouse we roam, through the rooms in a maze
Looking for something or someone, as we sit in a daze.
We chat with each other, we type all our woes
Small groups we do form, and gang up on our foes.
We wait for somebody, to type out our name
We want recognition, but it is always the same.
We give kisses and hugs, and sometimes flirt
In private we chat deeply, and reveal why we hurt.
We do form friendships - but - why we don't know
But some of these friendships, will flourish and grow.
Why is it on screen, we can be so bold
Telling our secrets, that have never been told.
Why is it we share, the thoughts in our mind
With those we can't see, as though we were blind.
The answer is simple, it is as clear as a bell.
We all have our problems, and need someone to tell.
We can't tell real people, but tell someone we must
So we turn to the 'puter, and to those we can trust.
Even though it is crazy, the truth still remains
They are Friends Without Faces, and odd little names.
There a few true chat friend's
