He never re-married after the death of his wife,Mary Lavina Alden. He resided Bayshore Dr for some years prior to moving in with his daughter Nellie Marie at 129 Foulkes St between 1909 and 1937 in Toledo Ohio. He was ill with carcinoma of the pancreas in 1937 . He died on Oct 9 1937 in Toledo,Lucas,Ohio at that home. Interment was on Oct 11 1937 in Ft Meigs,Perrysburg,Wood,Ohio with the Aldens, his wife and deceased children. Services were conducted by H.H. Brinkenkamp 1003 Broadway Toledo Ohio. He was 71 years 10 months and 2 days old at the time of his death.

He was married to Mary Levina ALDEN (daughter of Albert W ALDEN and Sarah Jane DAVIS) on Feb 3 1899 in Perrysburg,Wood,Ohio(Ohio Marriage Cert#8944)(1899) Mary Levina ALDEN was born on Mar 31 1881 in Rossford, Perrysburg twp, Wood, Ohio. She resided Bayshore Rd between 1900 and 1907 in Toledo,Ohio. She died on Oct 10 1907 in St Vincent's Hospital Toledo,Lucas,Ohio. She was buried on Oct 12 1907 in Ft Meigs,Perrysburg,Wood,Ohio.
