Athabasca Glacier

Athabasca Glacier

One of our stops along the Icefield Parkway was the Athabasca Glacier, which is quite visible from the road. You can take an "Ice Cat" out on the Glacier and walk around on ice that goes hundreds of feet below your feet. You can sip glacial melt water that is 300 years old. And, you can notice a glacier creates its own micro-weather...cold! This is an experience well worth it.
