Our Adopted Pets!

This is our cat Fluffy. He was abandoned by his mother and was taken by neighbors who raised him for about 7 months. They decided they didn't want him and were going to have him put to sleep. He was not well taken care of and was covered in oil when we picked him up. Good thing for Dawn dishwashing liquid! It cuts grease and oil great, much to the dismay of a cat! hehe He slept almost all the time for a week after we brought him in. He has been with us for 5 years now, and is a loving cat. We also thought for few days he was a she! We found out different one day when he was sleeping on the chair sprawled out on his back! hehe We had him neutered shortly after that. His favorite thing to do is bite you gently if you don't pet him! He's very soft like a rabbit with long hair.** SAD NEWS** Fluffy accidentally got out in the middle of October 1999, and has never come back!!**

This is Leia. She's a quiet cat, but very sweet. She gets along with everyone, even all the other cats and the dog. She is a smokey grey striped cat with the cutest pink nose. SHe is very beautiful! We found her abandoned on the side of the road, we went to the animal shelter and adopted her through them to reduce the cost of spaying. She is not a lap cat, but very loving.

Here is Yittle. She is the sister of Fluffy. We took her in when she was two weeks old and abandoned by her mother. We fed her through a syringe. She was a very agressive eater, I suppose because she was so little. She was very treacherous with her claws, and very mean. I couldn't stand to see her put to sleep, because I am a major cat lover, so we had her spayed and declawed. All we have to beware of is her teeth! hehe She loves me the most, and when I sit down in the living room, she climbs up on my lap and nuzzles under my chin, then purrs and kneads with her right paw, and sucks on her left paw! It's the funniest thing I have ever seen. This ritual was another reason we had her claws removed, because she would tear me up with this! hehe She will also do this early in the morning when she senses I am waking up! She's a sweet cat, only when she wants to be. Sometimes you can sneak in a quick pet on her head or something, but when she growls, beware!

This is Sammy. My brother decided he didn't want him and was going to have him sent to the SPCA and he would have been put to sleep. Well, my mom couldn't stand that being a cat lover too, and she didn't tell me, but decided to visit and bring him up here. When she arrived and I saw the cat, I said! 3 cats in the house are enough! She said in Chattanooga, they put cats to sleep after one day and he was too nice a cat to do that to. I told her we would have to find him a home, and find him a home we did! hehe It wasn't but a couple days and we had all fallen in love with him! He is very heavy, can't jump very high, and shakes the whole house when he jumps down! hehe He sheds all year round and has short coarse hair. He was already neutered when whe got him.

Last of all here is Chelsea. She is just a sweet dog!! She is so protective of us...Unless...the person visting has a dog bone. hehe She is a German Shepard-Husky mix, with short legs. We decided to get a dog, so again we visited our local animal shelter. She was to be put to sleep soon because she had been there several months without being adopted. We had her spayed through them, and when we brought her home, she has been the best dog! Already housebroken, she made the best dog! She also loves the cats to pieces and will defend them completely!
