Robert Cheyne
Robert Cheyne was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1853. It isn't known how long he stayed in Scotland, but by the early 1880's he had emigrated to New Zealand and was most likely working as a joiner.

Robert (who was about 31) and Agnette became first-time parents with the birth of Lily Hawthorne Cheyne in late 1884 in New Zealand.
