After checking out everything and
helping me build the computer corner, Andy took over. He seems
to like the new setup, but it isn't finished yet. I hope to finish
the top part by Christmas.
When Andy was little he liked flowers.
Just put a flower near him and he had to stick his nose in
it. We called him Posie for a while. He loves roses.
Smart Cat. My Daughters are soft hearted suckers when it comes to
strays. That is how we ended up with Nick and Andy. It was
at our Grandsons birthday party, it was held in a spare room off
the garage. My daughter held the door open and the two orange kittens
ran into the room, up on a chair, and dove into the birthday cake.
This was a little before we lost Mike. I felt real bad about losing
him. My wife made me go out and take a look at the kittens again.
We took both of them. They made the loss a little easier. I
wanted a" big lap cat" to remind me of Mike. I guess if you are not
too pushy or specific God has a sense of humor and gives you what you ask
for. Andy is" big", and Nick is the "lap cat".
Ah yes! Let me tell you about the newest member
of the clan. This is Snuffy.
Snuffy was born on our back porch, because her mother knew we were
suckers for cute, little, fuzzy, screwballs. Her mom "Little Ma"
is one of those strays that you see everywhere. You know the kind,
real cute and playful when they are kittens, then they grow up and get
tossed out. Little Ma and Snuffy have joined the menagerie.
The little sign you see in the yard outside the
window is for Garfield who passed away this year. The grandchildren
helped plant it and wanted it called Garfields Garden.
This is our old girl, Sweety (15yrs. Old) She
jumps from a chair down below this window, to the top of the door, then
to the cornice. Sweeties claim to fame is that she can purr louder
than any cat we ever heard. She is a fetcher. If you toss a
little piece of paper she will chase after it and bring it back to you.
This is Tippy. A very original name, tip has
about a half inch of white fur ant the end of his tail. What
else would you call him? -- Tip--- He is a little fellow and has
been with us for about 14 years. One cold snowy night when we were
going out to the car, we heard a kitten crying. I called to him and
he sort of jumped into our arms and started purring. We did not know
what to do at the time, you just can't leave him in the street. He
made friends with the others that night while we were away, and has been
with us ever since. Of course being around us has turned him into
a real "GRAPHICS/Basket Case".
