candle in the dark

"A  C a n d l e   i n   t h e   D a r k"

Maneka Gandhi enlists Dimple Kapadia's support for animal welfare.

From India's most beautiful woman comes a most beautiful tribute to the cause of animal welfare. Dimple Kapadia created a limited edition collection of candles for People For Animals, India's largest animal welfare organisation headed by Smt. Maneka Gandhi.

The exhibition entitled 'A Candle In The Dark' was organized at a glittering function at The Oberoi, New Delhi on Tuesday, March 28th - 30th, 2000.

These candles, ensconced in elegant earthen containers, are unique in their infusion of exotic herbs, spices and flowers. In addition, they represent a fusion of creativity and sensitivity. Each creation is more than a candle, it is a ray of hope for thousands of needy creatures, a flame to spread the light of compassion.

The proceeds from this exhibition went towards towards an ambulance to augment People For Animals' free service to treat and transport sick and injured animals.

Be there...Buy a Candle...Light up a Life...
