My Work

I left JBU in the begining of my junior year as a broadcasting major. I got married on August 27, 1977. In October of '77 I applied for and recieved a job offer from WPJS-FM in Orangeburg. I left my new bride and came to South Carolina while she closed accounts, finished work at her job, etc. I worked for a year and a half as an announcer on that Christian radio station. For many reasons I decided that being a DJ wasn't for me. For four months after that I delivered bread for Sunbeam Bakeries. In August of 1979 I went to work for Ethyl corporation as an operator. Shortly after that I got a job in the laboratory.
Now I am a senior lab technician for Albemarle Corporation, which is what our plant in Orangeburg became a part of when Ethyl spun us off.
