Experience CRIPPEN and Benjamin ACKLEY Sr were married about 1733 in East Haddam, Middlesex , Connecticut.5,9,83,84 Benjamin ACKLEY Sr36 (son of Sgt John ACKLEY and Rebecca SPENCER) was born about 1708 in East Haddam, Middlesex , Connecticut.4,5,9 Lds also lists birth abt 1710 He was baptized on 27 Jan 1739/40 in East Haddam, Middlesex , Connecticut. He served in the military in May 1755 in French and Indian War.17,67,68,81 Benjamin Ackley served as a private May 1755 in the 4th regiment Col Elihu Chauncey Commanding , Dimocks Company, Capt Samuelt Dimock commanding, Cristopher Helms 1st Lt, Benjamin King 2nd Lt in the French and Indian War. This company was raised by CT but was in the pay of NY. He died in Jun 1761 in East Haddam, Middlesex , Connecticut.82 On 7 Dec 1727 Benjamins father John deeded 24 acres of the home lot as well as the house, barn and orchards to his son Benjamin with the reservation that John would continue to have the use of the property during his life.
