WAXAHACHIE, Texas, Mar 21- Announcement of the engagement of Miss Louise Dunaway, daughter of Mr and Mrs O B Dunaway of this city, and John Ackley, Dallas, son of Mrs E H Ackley and the late E H Ackley of Waxahachie, was made at a tea given Saturday. The hostess was Mrs P A Keplinger, the former Miss Allyne Chapman, a graduate of Miss Hockaday's School for Girls, Dallas, at the home of her parents, Mr and Mrs O H Chapman, Overhill drive, Waxahachie.
Mrs Keplinger will be an attendant in the wedding which will take place Friday, April 10, at the First Presbyterian Church, Waxahachie.
White and silver were carried out in the elaborate floral arrangements. The announcements, reading “John and Louise, April 10,” were printed in white on small silver wedding bells.
Miss Bettie Kate Edmunson of Waxahachie will be maid of honor, and Hastings Ackley, Dallas, brother of the bridegroom-to-be, will be best man.
Miss Dunaway was educated at Trinity University, Waxahachie, and received a bachelor of music degree from Kidd Key College, Sherman. She has furthered her musical studies at New York School; of Music, New York City, and has traveled extensively on this continent and in Europe.

WAXAHACHIE, Texas, April 10- Mr and Mrs John Lea Ackley, who were married Friday night at the First Presbyterian Church, are on a wedding trip to Old Mexico. Mrs Ackley was formerly Miss Sarah Louise Dunaway, daughter of Mr and Mrs O B Dunaway, of this city and Mr Ackley is the son of Mrs E H Ackley and the late E H Ackley of Waxahachie. Dr S L Joekel, Austin, read the marriage vows before an altar banked of field flowers, ferns and white candles.
The bride who entered upon the arm of her uncle, John Dunaway, Wichita Falls, wore a white satin wedding gown, a cap of rosepoint lace with seed pearls and a veil of bridal illusion. She carried calla lilies.
Miss Betty Kate Edmonson, Waxahachie, was maid of honor and Mrs J D Canon, Hillsboro, was matron of honor. They wore pink and yellow marquisette gowns over taffeta with fited blouses, sheared, full sleeves, v-shaped backs and full skirts.
They wore red leghorn hats and carried arm bouquets of red tulips.
Bridesmaids were Miss Marion Betts, Lubbock; Mrs P A Keplinger and Miss Elizabeth Roberts, both of Waxahachie, and Mrs Robert L Wood of Itasca. Their gowns were in periwinkle blue marquisette, and they also wore hats of red leghorn. Their flowers were red tulips.
The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Hastings Ackley, Dallas, as best man, and Kirby Jackson and Herbert E Arnold, both of Dallas; Jack Byrd Eastham, J W Thompson and James McRoberts, all of Waxahachie, as ushers.
Prenuptial musical numbers were given by Murray Kendrick of Dallas, vocalist, and William Barclay, organist.

FORT WORTH, Texas- Mrs. John Ackley of Waxahachie and William Barclay were married in a ceremony held Friday in the First Presbyterian Church, Dr Robert F Jones officiating.
The couple will be at home at 4413 Normandy Rd and in Waxahachie after Feb 1.
The bride is a trustee of the Waxahachie Independent School District, a charter member of the Junior Service League, president of the Woman's Auxiliary of the W C Tenery Community Hospital and the Fort Worth Chapter of American Guild of Organist.
Mr. Barclay is Minister of music at the First Presbyterian Church here and music critic of the Fort Worth news. She died on 3 Jun 1989 in Dallas, Dallas , Texas.4 John Lee ACKLEY and Sarah Louise DUNAWAY had the following children:
